Contrast

I always like stark pictures. Black and white, I believe, is the best medium for stark, contrasting images, and whenever I get the chance - and can afford the twice-as-expensive black and white film - I try to take some (stark, contrasting) pics which I hope come out the way I like.

The keyword here, though, is hope. They almost never do. This one is about halfway there, but I had to bump up the contrast to get rid of the dull look that I always get when I get my darker images processed. A curse on all film labs.... anyways, I ramble. Do scrutinize this image, and let me know what you think.

Like all your photographs, brilliant. Post as many black and white photographs you can afford.

LOVED this one...
I tried scrolling down your page that those rays followed... try it.. Optical illusion of some sort?!!

PS: Did you MEAN that to happen?

Brewtus: Merci beaucoup! And have obliged. Voila!

Shruti: Hey, yeah! Didn't notice that myself! All I was capturing was the pattern the light from my bathroom window cast on the building's outer wall...

Hey, I missed this shot. Why is only one post visible on your blog at a time?

Nice shot.

Anurag: Since there are a lot of photos these days on my blog, I decided to make the page a little lighter. Reduces the time taken to load the page...

Twinky: Yes, it is a bit empty... like I said, I always get something wrong in these photographs... and hey, thanks for the ton of comments in all those posts! Me flattered that you read through all of them! :)
